  • Job Summary

    Reporting to the Controller, this position has primary responsibility for supporting the Accounts Payable function to ensure that vendor invoices are recorded properly and vendors are paid in a timely manner.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Input incoming invoices into ERP system
    • Communicates with vendors by phone calls or e-mails to resolve issues
    • Assures that invoice matches purchase order
    • Sort, code, and organize high volume of outgoing checks
    • Sort and distribute mail.
    • Maintain an organized filing system.
    • Coding of incoming invoices and filing backup accordingly.
    • Match invoices to packing slips
    • Track weekly checks
    • Other duties as assigned by the Controller

     

     

    Minimum Requirements

     

     

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent. 
    • Minimum TWO years office experience, preferably in an accounting/finance environment
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize work and perform multiple tasks
    • Must have excellent time management skills
    • Must be able to learn FACTS or similar software.
    • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Office & Outlook
    • Ability to key on a number pad at high speed.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills including speaking, reading and writing in the English language.
    • Must have excellent customer service skills and demonstrate a customer service mindset when dealing with internal and external customers.

    Essential functions:

    • Must be able to lift boxes up to 30 lbs
    • Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documents
    • Analytical ability including basic math skills
    • Ability to listen to and interpret customers needs
    • Communication skills including speaking, reading and writing
